Silent Whisper: anonymous messages only you can read

By Laxmi SolutionsPublished 1 min read

Silent Whisper is an anonymous inbox where "anonymous" means the server literally cannot read the message. Keys live on the device, the server stores ciphertext.

Who it's for

Anyone running a feedback inbox, creators who want signal from an audience, teams running retros — anywhere "anonymous" needs to mean "the server literally cannot read this."

What it does

Create a link, share it. People open it and write — the message is encrypted in their browser with your public key and uploaded. Only your device holds the private key, so only you can read.

How we built it

X25519 key exchange, XChaCha20-Poly1305 for the message body. The private key is generated on-device and stored in the Android Keystore (hardware-backed where available). The server sees ciphertext, timestamp, and nothing else.

Android: Google Play.
