Lemma: a real XeLaTeX editor that runs on your phone
Lemma is a LaTeX editor with a working XeTeX engine on Android, a live PDF preview, templates and Git / Drive sync. The handwriting-to-LaTeX feature saves you from typing \frac{\sqrt{a^2+b^2}}{\pi} with your thumbs.
Who it's for
Students, researchers and anyone who writes mathematical or technical documents and keeps hitting the "but my laptop isn't with me" wall.
What it does
A LaTeX editor with a live PDF preview, a working XeTeX engine compiled for Android, templates for common papers and letters, Git and Google Drive sync, and Snap math that turns handwritten equations into LaTeX source. No account needed.
How we built it
The XeTeX binary is cross-compiled to run on-device, so compilation does not require a server. Git and Drive sync are optional — a totally offline workflow is first-class. Handwriting recognition runs locally for math; the full strokes are converted to a LaTeX expression without round-tripping over the wire.
